The Scottsboro Water, Sewer & Gas Board operates two surface water filter plants. Both of our plants receive water from the Tennessee River. Currently, both plants have a combined treatment capacity of 8-million gallons per day. In addition to our plants, we have 10 tanks with a storage capacity of 9 million gallons.

All of our plant operators are certified through training, testing and continuing education by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.We are continuously testing our treated water to ensure you have the safest and best-tasting water available at your tap.
